SUNSEA 31st Collection – New Arrivals

Hello everyone, this is Kubo from keylime Tokyo.

Last week, without any prior notice, we suddenly received new arrivals from SUNSEA—marking the start of their 31st collection. We shared the news right away through Instagram Stories, but didn’t get a chance to dive into the details.

So for this week’s Journal, we’d like to take a closer look at the latest pieces from SUNSEA.

This time, we’re introducing a tank top and two styles of shorts. A polo shirt made from the same fabric as the tank top also arrived, but it sold out before we had the chance to feature it in our Journal. Thank you to everyone who made a purchase.

As we approach our second anniversary this September, we’re pleased to see that more and more people are discovering keylime Tokyo as a destination for SUNSEA. We’re genuinely grateful for the growing number of customers who look forward to each new release.

Let’s get back to the new arrivals. First up is this tank top:

3104 HARINUKI Tank-top

Material: Cotton 80%, Silk 20%

As the name suggests, this tank top is made from “harinuki” fabric—a type of knit where some needles are deliberately skipped during production, creating subtle vertical lines and a textured look often seen in tank tops. The silhouette is defined by its notably long length and small slits on both sides, creating a unique drape reminiscent of an apron when worn.

While SUNSEA is known for their bold designs and distinctive patterns, it’s in these understated pieces where the brand’s attention to quality really shines. The fabric blend of cotton and silk is soft, smooth, and incredibly comfortable. This is a great introduction to the world of SUNSEA—especially for those curious but yet to try the brand.

Next up is a pair of shorts—but don’t be fooled by the color difference, as this design is actually a different pattern altogether.

3147 Shrinkage Cotton Shorts S Version

Size: 3 only

The Beige version is crafted from a dense, crisp cotton fabric with a firm texture and weight. Fans of SUNSEA might associate the “Shrinkage” label with their shirt fabrics, but this one offers a more structured feel. Key SUNSEA details include the external front pockets and the reversed “S” embroidery at the hem. The waistband is fully elastic, making them easy to put on and take off. With a slightly shorter length and a flared silhouette, these shorts bring a fresh yet familiar SUNSEA touch.

The Black color version of these shorts is made from 100% wool—a truly nice material choice.

3150N.M BLUE w/耳 Big Shorts S Version

Size: 3 only

While the overall design and features remain consistent with the cotton version, the key difference lies in the fabric. The breathable nature of wool makes this pair especially suitable for those concerned about stuffiness around the waist. Both versions are available in size 3 only.
