The fabric used is Dhal's original, produced from weaving to finishing in Nishiwaki, Hyogo Prefecture, a region known for shirt fabric. By weaving linen and top-dyed cotton yarn into the weft, the unique slub texture of linen and the melange colors blend together, creating a rich and profound texture. The yarns, partially dyed with plant-derived dyes, intricately intertwine multiple colors, resulting in deep, Dhal-esque shades for both Navy and Beige. The fabric offers the crisp texture of linen that doesn't cling to the skin and just the right amount of stiffness, with the added appeal of softening beautifully with repeated washes.
