CIOTA’s iconic Straight 5 Pocket Pants have been renewed. To highlight the raw character of denim, the fabric is left in its natural state—unprocessed, without desizing or shrink-proof treatments. This allows the pants to develop unique texture and depth as they age with wear. The silhouette is inspired by 1970s vintage denim, featuring a clean straight line that falls naturally from the thigh to the hem.The warp uses rope-dyed, natural indigo yarns with a white core, while the weft is spun from ultra-long staple Suvin cotton. Woven on old-style shuttle looms, this selvedge denim offers a beautiful blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern refinement. This is a timeless, versatile piece that pairs effortlessly with a wide range of styles.
Buyers note
CIOTA’s straight button-fly jeans have been my go-to since the brand’s very first season. After several thoughtful updates, they’ve arrived at what I consider a contemporary reinterpretation of vintage denim.Rope-dyed indigo yarns in the warp, combined with Suvin cotton in the weft—CIOTA is the only brand I know that can pull off such a luxurious combination in denim.I hope you’ll enjoy watching the fabric evolve over time, starting from the one-wash state.
