CIOTA’s Straight 5 Pocket Pants are now available in Medium Dark Blue (Damage), a wash that offers the character of vintage denim.

Made from raw selvedge denim that has not undergone desizing or shrink-proofing, these jeans feature a carefully calculated aging and distressing process, achieved through CIOTA’s expert craftsmanship. The result is a natural fade with subtle damage details, capturing the look of well-worn vintage denim. Compared to the Navy version, this pair has a more pronounced twist in the fabric. The silhouette maintains a clean, straight line from a moderately wide thigh to the hem, creating a distinctive, structured shape.

Buyers note

I have never been a fan of pre-faded or distressed denim. Compared to rigid or one-wash jeans, which evolve with wear, artificially aged denim always felt a bit forced to me.

However, after discovering these CIOTA jeans, my perspective completely changed. They have an authentic vintage look, yet the whiskering and honeycombs are subtle, while the selvedge fades are sharply defined. The overall color fade is even, which actually enhances the realistic vintage feel.

This is a new kind of distressed denim that I am eager to incorporate into outfits with shirts and jackets for a more refined look.
