New Arrival : CIOTA Golf Jacket

As we reach the final days of January, our shelves are already filled with new arrivals. I’ve been enjoying more opportunities lately to chat with many of you in-store about our upcoming spring wardrobes.



For today’s Journal, I’d like to introduce the latest spring outerwear from CIOTA—pieces that are sure to take center stage in your collection for the coming season.

The "Golf Jacket" is a signature staple that CIOTA continues to refine with great care. This season, keylime Tokyo has selected the latest iteration, crafted from a unique hopsack fabric.



As the name suggests, "hopsack" is characterized by a coarse, open weave reminiscent of the jute bags once used to transport hops for brewing. This particular model features CIOTA’s original "Suvin Shetland Hopsack"—a bespoke fabric that blends the brand's iconic, silky-smooth Suvin cotton with Shetland wool, which is spun slowly on traditional British spinning frames to retain its rustic texture.

Upon touching the fabric, you’ll notice the distinctive crispness and resilience of wool, yet the blend of Suvin cotton adds a surprising softness and suppleness.



This inherent tension in the material allows the jacket to hold its shape beautifully, creating a refined silhouette with a subtle, airy volume when worn. The design is rooted in the traditional style originally born as golf outerwear. It is peppered with classic functional beauty throughout, such as the "dog ear" collar designed to keep out the wind and the back yoke (umbrella vent) crafted to shed rainwater.

The interior is lined with smooth cupra, allowing you to layer it effortlessly over knits or sweatshirts without any friction.



Since the material is wool-based, it offers just the right amount of warmth. I believe this piece is the perfect solution for that tricky transitional period from late winter to early spring, when deciding what to wear can be a challenge.

I also have an update regarding our online store. Starting today, January 29th (Thu) at noon, the Oblada "Authentic Shirt" featured in last week’s Journal is now live. Furthermore, starting today and continuing through next week, we plan to release new arrivals on our online store daily. The CIOTA "Golf Jacket" introduced today will be available starting tomorrow, January 30th (Fri) at noon.
