Dhal - Shetland Cotton Heather Knit Series

In today's Journal, I would like to introduce a new setup that has arrived from Dhal.

It features the pullover and pants from the Shetland Cotton Heather Knit series.

These items use an original wool/cotton material, knitted in Bishu, a renowned wool production region.

This fabric is made by a knitter in Bishu, who also produces fabrics for major maison brands, using a mélange yarn. This yarn is created by twisting cotton with Shetland wool that has been custom-dyed from the raw material stage.

By applying a fulling process in the finishing stage, the characteristic fullness and rustic texture of Shetland wool are brought out.



While the color range also includes Khaki, at keylime Tokyo, we have selected only Grey.

At first glance, it looks like sweatshirt material, but upon closer inspection, you can clearly feel the texture of the wool fibers. We chose it because we felt this exquisite balance, where elegance and a relaxed feel coexist, is very characteristic of Dhal.

The top is a half-zip pullover with a roomy silhouette.

While the design has a sporty impression, the cuffs are finished like shirt cuffs, which is an unexpected and delightful surprise.

The sleeve length is quite long, and when the cuffs are buttoned, the fabric gathers and bunches around the wrist, creating a relaxed atmosphere.

The fabric is mainly wool, with the characteristic full volume from the fulling process, yet it also has the softness of cotton, making it gentle against the skin.

The moment you put it on, there is a warmth that envelops your body, providing a comfort where you feel no gap with your body temperature right away.

The pants are easy pants featuring a deep rise paired with a straight silhouette.

While the drawstring waist specification offers a relaxed fit, they don't look baggy; instead, they maintain a clean line all the way to the hem.

Although it is a material with a noticeable texture, it is lined, ensuring they are smooth to slip on and comfortable.

Characterized by the deep expression created by the heathered, mélange feel, they exude a sense of quality even within a relaxed style.

Both are items that have a strong presence even when worn separately, but there is a sense of balance that feels "complete" when worn as a set-up in the same material.

While they have a relaxed silhouette, if you look closely, you'll find twists in the fabric and construction. I believe this element of surprise and enjoyment is what makes Dhal so characteristic.
