Traditional Japanese tie-dyeing techniques, adapted by Kyoto artisans, add a one-of-a-kind texture, making this jacket truly unique. The characteristic imbalance between the fulled outer fabric and the lining further enhances its distinct presence.

Buyer’s Note

Controlling the fulling process, which involves shrinking the fabric after sewing, is already a challenging task. But what’s particularly impressive here is the gradual increase in the intensity of the fulling from the bottom to the top of the jacket. I’ve never seen anything like it! This jacket is a testament to the unparalleled skill of fabric artisan Mr. Fujinai, a true “material magician.”
