Originally, double-knee fabric was used to reinforce the knees of full-length trousers, and the fabric was partially doubled up to make shorts. It is thought to be just a playful idea with little practicality, but the increased thickness of the fabric results in a calculated balance with a beautifully spread hem. The fabric is made from S H's classic chambray fabric and can be coordinated with a top in the same fabric for a fresh set-up.
Buyer's note
Shorts made from shirt fabric feel great. They are light and dry quickly after washing. The strength of the material is a bit of a concern when it comes to long lengths, but shorts that don't pull at the knees have no problem with strength. The waist has a drawcord, so feel free to put them on and go out. You can also enjoy an all-in-one look by adding a shirt made of the same material.
