The Bawa is a special model developed in collaboration with premio gordo and keylime owner Jumpei Seki.
The wooden pattern was made from an old shoe that was lying around in a corner of the workshop, and this pair has the feel of vintage service shoes, but with elegance.
The upper is made of vegetable-tanned calf from the Italian tannery Incas. The gently rounded toe has a low design with a modest cuff. The plain toe is simple and elegant, making it versatile enough for a variety of styles.
The sole is made in Goodyear welt and the sole is oiled benz.
Buyer's note
The plain toe was made with Mr Tomatsu of premio gordo, who launched the first model in 2022.
The first model is vegetable-tanned black. With the concept of 'ultra-ordinary', we planned this model with the hope that it would be loved by a wide range of people, from leather shoe enthusiasts to those who don't normally wear leather shoes. This calf has a slightly shallower color impression than the common chrome-tanned black. It might be an interesting expression to call it a transparent black, but I think it will make sense when you see it in person. The wrinkles are also unique and we are looking forward to seeing them change over time.
The Kangaroo model has a rounded buckle, but this one has a flat buckle. The feature of this model is that it is reminiscent of postman and service shoes, but finished in a much more elegant way.
Made in Japan.
