Paraboot × ARPENTEUR “MIRAGE” Release

Hello everyone.
This is Kubo from keylime Tokyo.
In today's Journal, I will be introducing a new brand of leather shoes that we've started stocking.
Up until now, keylime Tokyo has carried leather shoes from Le Yucca's and premio gordo.
The brand newly joining our lineup is Paraboot, one of France's leading leather shoe brands.
We hope to offer a minimalist and chic design that differs from their in-line models with this special collaboration item with ARPENTEUR, another French brand.

The brand newly joining our lineup is Paraboot, one of France's leading leather shoe brands.
We hope to offer a minimalist and chic design that differs from their in-line models with this special collaboration item with ARPENTEUR, another French brand.

The new collaboration model we've just received is the "MIRAGE".
Paraboot × ARPENTEUR
MIRAGE
Color: Black (NOIR)
Material: Grain Leather
Size: 6.0-8.5 (UK)
Price: ¥108,900 (Tax included)
At first glance, many of you might think, "Isn't that the staple Paraboot CHAMBORD?"
That's a correct assumption—the original design is the CHAMBORD, and the last (shoe mold) used is exactly the same (so if you already own or have tried on a CHAMBORD, finding your size should be straightforward).

The collaboration's uniqueness lies not only in the use of black grained leather for the upper instead of smooth leather, but the most significant difference is that the leather (from the quarter to the toe) other than the vamp is finished as a single, continuous piece.
The collaboration's uniqueness lies not only in the use of black grained leather for the upper instead of smooth leather, but the most significant difference is that the leather (from the quarter to the toe) other than the vamp is finished as a single, continuous piece.

By finishing the upper as a single piece of leather, rather than the three joined pieces on the in-line CHAMBORD, the shoe gains a more dressy impression. Despite this, the construction uses the trekking-derived Norwegian welt, which gives it a casual feel due to the two stitch lines visible on the welt, and the boot last results in a characteristically voluminous silhouette.
With the removal of the upper's seam lines, the symbolic green "Paraboot" tag is also gone.
The stitching on the welt (the "skiving" or "scoop" stitch) is black on the MIRAGE, contrasting with the white seen on the in-line model.
The design is completely dedicated to a tone-on-tone black aesthetic, extending to the lining and insole.
This is a true masterpiece—a minimal reconstruction of Paraboot's classic CHAMBORD, with Arpentuer strategically subtracting elements to create this refined piece.
It is a shoe that is both sophisticated yet casual, perfectly suited for daily life.
This embodies a key concept we propose at keylime Tokyo, and it pairs excellently with S H shirts, CIOTA trousers, and our other curated items.
For customers who have their clothing sorted but are still searching for the perfect footwear, this is the pair we recommend.
Please consider giving them a try.
The launch on our online store will be a little later; for now, they are exclusively available in-store.
Of course, we are pleased to offer fittings in the shop.
Why not bring the pants and socks you want to pair them with to try them on while considering your complete styling?
(We also have keylime original socks available for you to borrow during your fitting.)
keylime Tokyo is open today from 12:00 PM.
We sincerely look forward to your visit.
By the way...
For those of you who were wondering, what exactly is the Norwegian welt construction mentioned above?
It is a method originating from mountain boots where the "scoop stitch" that joins the upper to the sole material is not done on the inside of the shoe. Instead, the welt is exposed in an L-shape and stitched on the outside. Compared to other methods, this construction is highly effective at preventing water from penetrating the internal structure.

"Skiving stitch"? "Welt"?
Please feel free to ask me about those details when you visit the shop.
I'd be happy to explain them along with the product's appeal in my own words.
We have many customers who visit keylime Tokyo with an interest in leather shoes, so I hope to one day write a Journal that delves deeper into the world of leather footwear.
But that's for another time.
