holk 2B Jacket

Today I would like to introduce holk's 2B Jacket.

Although it is an item with a jacket notation, it is an exquisitely balanced item with a fairly loose size and silhouette, not quite a coat...but not a so-called jacket either.

In addition to the relaxed size, the pattern is also interesting. When the jacket is spread out, the front view extends in a fan shape from the sides to the shoulders, and the shoulders fall when worn to the point where one hesitates whether the shoulder line can be called a shoulder line or not.

That is why you do not feel the stiffness of the jacket.

The material used is a woollen material with a fluffy texture, which goes well with the roomy silhouette. 

This is a 2B jacket with lapels, yet it has a relaxed and gentle impression.

By the way, there are various types of shrinkage, and this is “product shrinkage”, in which the fabric is shrunk from the finished state. 

Lined items are characterized by a gap between the non-shrunken lining and the shrunken outer fabric, and by puckering-like rippling around the seams. 

These features are not necessarily practical, but they are romantic in their own way.

It is said that it is very difficult to control the “shrinkage rate” of shrinkage, and the producers really want to avoid product shrinkage, which is difficult to mass produce uniform quality. 

Therefore, holk, which has continued to work with craftsmen in Bishu, one of the world's leading woolen textile production centers, to create carefully crafted products, is taking on the challenge of shrinking items, which is very romantic.

Of course, it is a time-consuming and difficult-to-control process, but the wool layer that expands due to fluffing has excellent heat-retaining power. 

I think it is because of the practicality of the woollen items that they continue to be made.
