Paraboot × ARPENTEUR BERGY Release

In today's Journal, I would like to introduce the special collaboration model "BERGY" by Paraboot × ARPENTEUR.

This is the second collaborative item from the two brands that we are carrying, following the "MIRAGE."



Once again, this special collaboration item is a superb reimagining of a Paraboot masterpiece through the unique lens of ARPENTEUR.

The "BERGY" model is a special shoe based on Paraboot's in-line model "BERGERAC," but it has been fully customized down to the smallest details, with the upper, lining, and even the stitching all unified in black.

It features an extremely minimal design, even omitting the iconic Paraboot green tag.

The upper uses the same black grained leather (shibo-gawa) that was also used on the MIRAGE.

This material is easy to care for and resistant to visible scratches, yet the deep luster created by the leather's texture conveys a sophisticated, adult atmosphere.

A distinctive feature of this "BERGY" model is that the top three rows of the lace holes have been replaced with speed hooks.

While originally a practical detail designed to make work boots easier to take on and off, the exposed hardware creates an accent within the solid black color scheme, balancing the overall look so that it doesn't appear too heavy.

The laces have been changed from the round laces of the in-line model (BERGERAC) to flat laces.

It's a subtle difference, but when combined with the depth of the grained leather, it lends a slightly dressy feel to the overall look, making the shoe versatile enough for casual wear without being too informal.

The construction method is the Norwegian welt, which is Paraboot's specialty.

Its appeal lies in its practicality, inherited from mountaineering boots, featuring a robust and water-resistant structure that allows you to wear them without worry, from daily use to bad weather days.

The sole has also been customized to the JANNU sole, which is used on trekking boots like the in-line AVORIAZ model. The side profile gives it a substantial look, giving this "BERGY" model its unique presence.
