Le Yucca's Quilted Slip-on

Hello everyone.

This is Kubo from keylime Tokyo.

The rainy season has ended, and we are now experiencing extremely hot days with temperatures exceeding 35 degrees Celsius.

Please be careful of heat stroke when you go out under the scorching sun.

And since keylime Tokyo is open for business with air conditioners on, please come visit our store and cool off.

Today's Journal begins with a report.

Thanks to your support, Le Yucca's Boat Moccasins have sold out.

Although there were only a small number of these originally available, they sold out about two months after their release, so I think it is safe to say that they are a “popular item.

The boat moccasin upper is made of high-grade cordovan, which requires delicate handling against water, and the sole is made of rubber instead of leather.

The fact that the shape of the tread and the high heel, which are not so much “sexy” elements that one associates with Le Yucca's, were not so unexpected and may have contributed to the popularity of the shoes.

The “Ball” last is also used for the quilted loafers we carry at keylime Tokyo.

In this issue of the Journal, we would like to introduce such a hidden gem of a quilted loafer.

First of all, as explained at the beginning of this article, the “Ball” last is used, which has a rounded nose that is far removed from the image of Italian shoes.

And keylime Tokyo's order is made by the Goodyear method.

The detail of the stitching is in place, but the tension of the heel is modest and elegant.

The heel is also lower than the Karena last, and the Goodyear style gives the impression of hardness rather than sexiness.

The navy suede upper is also hardcore.

The two most common decorative features are the quilt and the punch.

The quilt in particular has the image of being attached as an attachment to a lace-up, or in the case of loafers, there are many shapes that are fastened from the top of the quilt with leather bands, bits, and other separate parts, but this is a fresh design that is neither of these and is fastened by sewing.

The back of the instep has a slit and is elasticated with elastics, so you will not feel tightness when putting on and taking off the loafer.

The area covering the instep is wider than that of general coin loafers, so it holds the foot firmly in place.

And because the opening is deeper, it has a more massive feel than ordinary loafers, making it a versatile pair that can be combined with a wide range of clothing regardless of the season.

It is not as the conventional theory, but it does not give a sharp impression, and if anything, it is highly versatile.

It is a pair that I can recommend with confidence.

If you find this pair of shoes in your leather shoe lineup, I would guess with respect that you are a leather shoe lover and enjoy fashion not only theoretically but also sensibly.

Of course, the Ball last series is also available with a special shoe tree at keylime Tokyo.

If you are interested, please visit our store and check the actual shoes.

We will also guide you to try on the shoes.

We are open from today, Thursday.

We are looking forward to seeing you at our store.
