It’s been a while since we’ve updated the Journal on a day other than Thursday. There is a specific item I wanted to introduce before the weekend starts, so I’ve decided to post for the second time this week.

The item I’m so eager to introduce is this:

The Baggy 5 Pocket Pants from CIOTA.



We have carried CIOTA denim at keylime Tokyo for several seasons now. While we have previously focused on the "Straight" fit—the most quintessential style—this season we have placed our first order for the "Baggy" fit, which is the most popular silhouette within the brand, to bring a fresh breeze into our shop.

CIOTA recently updated the patterns for their denim pants. These baggies are based on a 1990s loose fit, reconstructed with a deeper rise and a longer inseam. The line that falls straight and spreads out from the waist to the hem is beautiful; while it offers a relaxed silhouette, it doesn't look too casual, giving you a trendy look just by putting them on.

Of course, the fabric features Suvin cotton, which has become synonymous with CIOTA. By using it for the weft, the texture against the skin remains supple, eliminating the stiffness typically associated with denim and ensuring a comfortable fit.
